Title of the meeting:Three things we would like banished from the world and why (21/05/2024)
This week we are going to talk about three things we would like banished from the world and why. The idea is based on the BBC programme ‘Room 101’ in which celebrities are invited to discuss their pet hates and persuade the host to consign those hates to oblivion in Room 101, a location whose name was inspired by the torture room in George Orwell’s novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, and which reputedly contained ’the worst thing in the world’.
