DU COMTAT VENAISSIN

Rules of the Association

This page describes in short how the Association works. The rules of the Assoication are described in its "Constitution" or "Statut" and other documents such as the "Internal Rules of the Association".

The "Association Culturelle Franco-Britannique du Comtat Venaissin" is incorporated under the French Law of July 1st. 1901. The Association is shortly called here "Franco-Brits" or "Association Franco-Britannique".

It is financed by the annual fees paid by its members and receives an annual donation from the city of Carpentras.

The  Management Committee

The Association is managed by a "Management Committee" with a maximum of 12 members that is elected for a three year term by the Annual General Meeting. Amongst the Management Committee, an "Executive Committee" or "bureau" is defined which consists of the president of the Association, its secretary and its treasurer. All members of the Management Committee are volunteers.

A general Assembly Meeting takes place once a year to which all members are invited.

Events and Activities of the Association

The Association organises various events and activities under the direction of the Management Committee for the benefit of its members and according to its mission. The calendar of these events, as well as the corresponding cost for the members (and other participants) are decided by the Management Committee of the association and communicated to the members of the association and other interested persons. Any member of the Franco-Brits, whether on the committee or not, can put forward ideas for Association events or activities and can take responsibility for such a group and animate it.
